The simple things.

Spent the afternoon at the park; for got the camera of course.  We had a picnic with the kids before officer had to go to work.  I see many more days like that this summer.  Miss Peanut is so fun to watch and she befriends everyone she meets.  Within 5 minutes they were pirates and chasing away sharks.  Their conversation then turned to "Finding Nemo"  and after taking care of Bruce, she then decided to take care of the whale.  Daddy was deemed the shark and then I hear from her lips - My mom is the whale.  I couldn't help but laugh, in my very "whale-like" condition.  The park was doing sprinkler work and had tractors/bobcats working while we were there and Handsome made several attempts to commandeer one - have I mentioned how 100% boy he is?  Officer and I even got to swing side by side for a few minutes.   I was grateful for the sunshine and a simple afternoon with my family.  This week is going to bring lots of changes and the next month will be very busy, so it was nice to pause for an afternoon and enjoy.

38 weeks

This is probably it for belly shots this time around, 38 weeks.  I actually got up and got dressed today for my appointment,  I feel like I'm living in sweats most of the day.  As much as part of me would love to just let this little one come in her own time,  I'm glad that my doctor said we'd go the induction route so that she is a couple weeks old because it make me a little nervous to travel with a little one this little. It's only about a week early and I'm just hoping that she is healthy and delivery goes well.  My doctor knows about our trip and was so good about the fact that this is a big deal for Officer and kept saying that baby and I really need to be able to be there.  That is the plan anyway,  if something changes,  I'm totally prepared for the fact that I may have to miss out.  Enjoyed my date night tonight,  getting a haircut tomorrow, manicure/pedicure on Thursday and after that Bring it on Baby Girl...who still doesn't have a name, feel free to drop suggestions.

Sunshine

We've finally had some beautiful afternoons mixed in with all the rain and we've spent the better part of the day outside.  We've had picnic lunches and played for hours swinging, digging and chasing bubbles. Handsome has even started figuring out how to ride Miss Peanut's bike, one day I hope that she'll get the hang of it, for now she sticks with her scooter.  I love it - my kids are completely filthy most days, but they are also exhausted by the end of the day and they don't protest bedtime; I can't complain too much they usually don't protest bedtime, however I have less and less energy around that time so I'm grateful.  We did get our new camera - so far I love it.  I took some video too and its so much better quality than our old camera.  Here's a couple shots, my kids are filthy and don't smile for the camera, but it captures them.

Cupcakes

How has it almost been a month since my last post?  Not much going on this week, thank goodness, and no baby for now which is...okay.  I think if she isn't here next week sometime I'll be a little more...uncomfortably pregnant. 2 weeks and she'll be evicted, so I can't complain - I know there is an end in site - although that requires the whole labor and delivery part and even though I know it's coming,  I haven't really mentally prepped myself for that yet.  I swear the little girl has got to be bigger than my last two because there is not much room left in there.  And Miss Peanut called her Cupcake the other day so henceforth she'll probably be know as Cupcake for blogging purposes.  I think cupcake came from last week when we had a baby shower and my friend made these yummy Red Velvet cupcakes.  Of course I for got to take pictures at the shower, but they were yummy.  This being my 3rd I didn't really expect/need much, but thought the diaper shower idea would be kind of fun.  I was amazed, seriously, in addition to lots of cute little outfits I'm now stocked with diapers for at least 3-4 months.  AMAZING!  A couple of pictures to post, not great, but we are getting a new camera - should be here tomorrow and then there will be an overload I'm sure and these totally unrelated to the shower or anything really.  We've been having lots of rainy days and it still cold out so we've been hanging out lots.

Miss Peanut with her "Rapunzel hair"

His hands are constantly in his mouth, poor guy has gotten 3 teeth in the last month and there are at least a few more on the way.

His first big bonk,  looks better than I thought it would, thank goodness.
